Question: What should I do next and when will I hear something
from the league regarding my child's placement on a team?
Answer: Below applies to BASEBALL ONLY. It depends on your
child's league age and the league signed up for. Please see below
11 & 12 year olds who were on a Major baseball team last season
It's up to the individual manager when to contact you. Keep in mind
that some teams will get new managers; that will cause some variation
on when things get started. However, first practices will be not
earlier than March 12th.
12 year olds entering the draft
Come to tryouts during your designated date time on February 26th,
February 27th or March 5th (makeups only). Time slots by age are
available on the handout from the baseball/softball table and here.
You are only required to attend one tryout session. A Major manager
will contact you within a few days following the draft (March 8th).
First practice for Major can be March 12th.
11 year olds entering the draft

Farm, Rookie, or T-Ball
All players directly entering Farm, Rookie, or T-Ball will hear
from their Manager between March 8th and by Spring Break at the
latest. Practices start no earlier than March 28th.
Junior League (Ages 13 & 14 as of December 31)
Two teams of approximately 12 players. Season runs from third week
of April until mid-June. Average of two-three games per week. Interleague
play with Albany, Eugene, and Salem. Usually, an All Star team is
selected to compete at District level in late June, early July.
Players must play 2 innings in the field per game and have at least
one at-bat.
Major League (Ages 10 through 12 as of December 31)
Three to four teams of approximately 12 players. Season runs from
third week of April until mid-June. Average of two games per week.
A few interleague games with Albany and Salem. Usually, an All Star
team of 11 & 12 year olds is selected to compete at District level
in late June, early July. Players must play 2 innings in the field
per game and have at least one at bat. Official 12" ball is
used. Games run 2-1/2hours and end close to 8:00pm.
Minor League (Ages 9 through 11 as of December 31)
Four teams of 11 or 12 players. Season runs from third week of April
until early June. May play a couple games in Albany. Players pitch
unless league chooses to temporarily allow coaches to assist.)
Average of two games per week. Usually, an All Star team of 9 &
10 year olds is selected to compete at District level in late June,
early July. Full roster bats; players must play 2 innings in the
field per game and have at least one at bat. 11" ball is used.
Games run 2 hours and end by 7:30pm.
Farm League (Ages 6 through 9 as of December 31)
Five teams of 9 to 12 players. Season runs from the end of Sprint Break
until mid/late June. Average of two games per week. All games
in Corvallis. Player pitch with safety ball (10" softie) until " 4 balls"
coach takes over and pitches until batter strikes out or puts the ball in play. No score
or standings are kept. Games are limited to 5 innings or 1-1/2 hours, ending no later than 7:30pm.
Rookie League (Ages 5 through 7 as of December 31)
Five teams of 8 to 10 players. Season runs from the end of Sprint Break
until mid/late June. Average of two games per week. All games
in Corvallis. Coaches pitch with safety ball (10" softie) is used. No score
or standings are kept. Games are limited to 5 innings or 1-1/2 hours, ending no later than 7:30pm.

We are glad that your family wants to be involved with the Corvallis Little League baseball program. Last season over 500 boys and girls played on 46 teams, and more than 200 adults volunteered as managers, coaches, umpires, and team parents.
